If you have a backyard pool, you also need to have it regularly maintained and serviced. This prevents a whole host of issues across the spectrum.  For those new to weekly pool service, you may not know what should be included.  There are a lot of pool cleaning and maintenance companies out there to choose from. You shouldn’t jump in without knowing all of the facts and without knowing what you should expect.

First, remember that all pools are different. Because they are all different, their maintenance needs are different as well.  What it takes to keep one pool healthy and clean, may be different from the next.  There are all different types of pools and, because of this, a good pool company will be able to maintain all of these different types.  Pools range from regular liquid chlorine to salt water pools to copper ionization systems to complete oxygen/copper ionization/UV light/break down chamber systems and more.

Although the type of pool may vary greatly, you should still expect a pretty consistent list of things that your pool company includes for you. Our goal is to keep your pool clean, safe and functional.  At Clearflo Pools, you can expect our Certified Pool and Spa Operators to arrive on time and on the same day each week. We go off of this list for included services:

  • Skim the pool surface
  • Brush walls and steps
  • Clean tile
  • Vacuum
  • Empty skimmers and pump baskets
  • Check water levels
  • Test and adjust water chemistry
  • Perform a full equipment inspection
  • Weekly log documentation

If you have a current pool maintenance company who isn’t checking all of these boxes, you should consider your other options. A pool is an investment.  You don’t want to ruin that investment by gambling on a company that isn’t going to maintain it in the way that benefits you.  Be sure to do your research.
