Recently, our owner Brandon Anderson was featured in The Acorn newspaper for donating a pool to a deserving local Agoura Hills Family. A few month back, Chris and Krista Windisch were looking to add a backyard swimming pool to their home. Chris Windisch is a retired Marine Corps pilot who is paralyzed from the neck down. The couple have two teenage daughters and thought a backyard pool would serve as a way to spend time as a family while also using the pool for aquatic therapy.
A pool build is not inexpensive however, and the Windisches were having a hard time as projected costs by local companies were higher than they could manage. When they reached out to Clearflo Pools owner Brandon Anderson for a quote, he decided to build the pool without charging the family. Chris was able to work with Brandon to design the pool and then watch as it was built in less than two months. The new controls include “an app that Chris Windisch can operate to control the lights and the temperature of the pool, and installed color-changing lights as well.”

“(The pool) is a form of medication and an ability to let go and allow your body to become weightless,” Krista Windisch said. “The psychological benefits are just as powerful as the physical benefits of not having constant pressure points on your body. Chris’ hands and feet are so contracted, it’s hard to stretch them without him getting spastic. The water is a very gentle way to do stretching and allow someone’s limbs to move.”
